Boulder Photography Club is a group for CU students and Boulder County residents to learn more about photography and meet photographers in the area.
The mission of the Boulder Photography Club at CU is to increase campus-wide interest in photography. We aim to provide an organized forum for our members to shoot, exchange, and exhibit photographs. Members' collaboration in this creative group is an aim at producing higher quality work than those members could produce by themselves, through critiquing and constructive criticism.
We further the artistic education of our members, foster social interaction among like-minded students, enhance the creative talent of involved members, and visually document campus events, and we aspire to generate images of the University and Boulder communities that students, faculty, and Boulderites will be proud to view and members will be proud to display.
Our primary objective as a club is to shoot and share pictures, both in a fun way. This is accomplished each semester in a number of ways: photo scavenger hunts, group outings specifically for shooting, general meetings to share photos with a projector, and a semi-formal photo exhibition each semester. We also take at least one club trip per semester. In addition, the club hosts guest speakers an gives skills workshops in an interactive-presentation format. Our numbers have been steadily rising, and we have had a lot of fun already this year. Send us an email, check us out!
